When I was approved to read the ARC of Love on the Border, I was unaware it was the sixth book in a series. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts. The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. Note – The description names the male main character as John Miller but my copy has him named as Eli Hayes. With an exciting conclusion, it is an excellent story. Two more different people couldn’t be found, making their story one of trust building in each other and God. Still she has her faith and a strong sense of right and wrong. Hannah McKinney also has experienced hardship because of the Civil War. A child of adversity he has carved out a way of life, just not a lawful one. However, this author has brought her easy read, character driven style to this historical romance too.Įli Hayes knows how to survive but has lost his moral compass in doing so. Usually the books I read written by her are contemporary, plus I read a couple written right after WW II. This is a different story from what I usually read by Ms. Love on the Border (McKinnie Mail Order Brides #6) by Ciara Knight is an engaging story taken place in the 1880’s.
